If you didn't know Julicia's Creations   is a member of The Artisan Group or TAG for short. What is TAG?? you ask, well its is a Artist Promotions group representing Talented artist at Hollywood's Gifting Lounges. They go to several exclusive events and hand out 100 Bags to the celebrities and to Press Reps or their "People" and the Artist get a chance of getting some Great exposure. So I'm doing my first event for the Golden Globes but I am only able to do the Business Cards Option but that is OK  It fits in my budget and gets my feet wet and Hopefully I reach some new fans "orders" (Prayers answered)So you ask How can I get in? well its an exclusive group but you can apply and if you pass the Standards then Your in and have the great opportunity to get into some great Gifting Lounges without this you could do the events on your own but then again you would need to pay BIG $$$ to participate and have to go through event planners to get in on it. I received an email about a year ago if I would like to do a Gifting lounge for a Disney event and they wanted $2000.00 and on top of that provide the 100 samples and packaging and Being there to Pass it out and Represent.. YEAH I got that right here NOT!!! so when I got the invite to TAG I was Very Blessed indeed. Also a new thing Is sending Swag bags to a Specific Celebrity, TAG sent a care package to Giuliana Rancic from The E network and Now they are sending bags to Hilary Duff, Jessica Alba, and Zooey Deschanel. How great is that I got in to do it for Zooey Love her new show New Girl  and her part on ELF our families favorite Christmas movie. So I am looking forward to seeing if I get any feedback from it any tweets or Thank yous. My Hubby on the other hand see's it as well to put it nicely a waste He asked me Why do Celebrities need to receive FREE stuff they have the $$ to pay just seems Odd. I say they cant buy things if they don't know it's there to buy. So here's to Positive Affirmations and being blessed enough to get to make awesome artistry

Veteran's Day 2011

Well its Veterans Day and Must say Thank god for our Military Past and Present and of course Future.. If it was not for their sacrifice to serve our Country we would not have the freedoms we enjoy. I truly believe this with all my Heart and Soul. My Father is a Veteran of the Air Force and he served them for 20 years and I benefited greatly for it I was able to live in Foreign Lands, learn new cultures and see how much we should be grateful as an American. My husband also served as a Marine in the early 90"s and did his tour in Desert Storm and well he sacrificed alot to serve his country and saw things most should not in their lives, but as he says He Is a PROUD American and Even more a PROUD MARINE! That only the Strong,the Few,the proud can serve.... But I say ALL Men should, maybe in our Country we would have a more outburst of Pride and less Whining and complaining about our country.. We have in MY opinion  raised a country of Soft and complaining youth that know nothing of sacrifice and most will not know what a Hard day of work is.Again My opinion and not saying ALL.  When it comes to it My sons will serve there country just like their Great Great Grandpa, Great grandpa, Both Grandpa's and Their Father did. They should as American Men!
God Bless all who served and that still do. And for all the Moms of soldiers and Wives of Soldiers God Bless you, for you are the strength left behind to carry on.

Well Its official Its Fall here in Arizona which means we have a couple of more weeks of Hot weather but The Arts and Craft season is ON again YAY!!!
I did my First one on Sat 10/1 At the Artwerks Lateral First Saturday Art Walk.

Its in Old town Glendale where you will find so Many great Antiques shops,Boutiques,Coffee shops, Bakeries.Ice cream shop,Restaurants and so Much more. They have all the cities events in this area By the Library on the Park area where they have the Famous Glendale Glitters SO Fun for the Family for sure. I had a Fun day and Took my oldest son with for my Helper of the day(slave) so I can actually get up and meet up with all the other Artist Vendors that where there. It was a Hot one and so Not as many artist were there as the Last but it will pick up as the Temps get cooler. It was a Fun day and I made some sales so All in all it was a Great day. I gave my son the Job as Photographer and well some are good and others are well, lets just say he really likes taking pics of himself. I had some folks tell me they love my leather work because it reminded them of when they used to do it School and at camps.There was alot of Lookers as usual but I think folks will hopefully buy more next month when it get closer to the Holidays But I always tell them that if the wait too Long theres a chance I cant get them done. Handcrafted Artistry takes time and if you want something custom get earlier then later,You take the chance that I wont be able to make it in time. I always say a Handcrafted gift is better then a store bought mass produced one any day. You are supporting an American run business who will spend there earnings in there local area which in turns helps America. just my opinion.

Whats next for Me? Well On Oct 15-16th I will be at the Arizona State Fair opening weekend selling my Creations, This will be my first time selling here and I think it will be a FUN day, LOVE the State fair. This time I will be taking my oldest Daughter for Help(slave of the day) she is really looking forward to it. I plan on Pushing out product like crazy for this event and I'm think of doing some new stuff. like some belts,wallets,check book covers,knife sheaths, and anything else that pops into my brain. I'm going to be doing more looks for guys and do some scary stuff since it will be close to Halloween I'm thinking teens will really be into it, Cant hurt to try.

And besides my Leather work I am Making Our Halloween costumes we will be all dressed in Period costumes. Our theme is 3 Musketeer's for the Guys and us girls will be the Ladies of the royal court with a little twist we will be Armed, like the Newest movie that's coming out on the 30th of this month, which looks awesome by the way.

My Up coming events and Plans

Well its been 2 weeks and I'm Doing a New Post Not bad But seriously need  to get better.... Ya add it to my To do List : ). Well The Fall season is Starting here in Arizona which means I'm back to selling at some Markets and Art Fairs YAY!!!! I really love doing them , I get to be out in the world and meet new people and chat with Friends and hopefully make some money at it. These past few months sales on my Online shops have been SO slow. I'm wondering why I even bother, I am so lacking the Time and Man power to make it in the world of Handcrafted Online shops. Most my sales come from events I do and from people I personally know. I need to punch through this wall that is keeping me in the same spot I was last year when I first started. I thought I would have been in a better way in sales by now. Needless to say its rough sometimes when you go months and No sale its a Blow to ones ego and it has made me think. What am I doing? Actually applied to Petsmart for a part time job next is Walmart.
Since my youngest started Kindergarten I'm home struggling with the the fact that my home business is just not cutting it and maybe just need to Hang it Up. I'm at the point that I have no clue what to do? I don't have the $ to pay for advertisement on blogs and businesses that promote handmade, I don't have the $ to get my website onto search engines  or even the knowledge to do it myself
I am even losing the drive to Push on, to keep going, to just strive thru it. Oh GOSH I'm so off why I was making a Post... Lets start again shall we?

OK, First Saturdays of the Months I will be In Glendale,AZ for the Artwerks Lateral 58 My favorite event to do. It has some really cool artists there and it has Grown so Big in its first Year I'm Looking forward to this new season.
Next thing I have in Concrete is Arizona State fair Opening Weekend
Oct 15-16th
Then In Nov I will actually miss the first Saturday in Glendale because my Husbands Karate School will doing a Demonstration for the Desert Shrimp Festival in Gila Bend,AZ Nov 5th.

So I am on the look out for events to do and If your local and reading this Please send me the Hook up to events I would greatly appreciate it. That is another time consuming Money eating thing. You have to do when your an Artist/craftsman on the vending markets. And trying to explain that to the Hubby is well a recurring subject I'm also getting tired of doing.

On a cheerier note I have been doing some new things in My Leather. I am my happiest when I am trying new and creative stuff. I find Great joy when I have an Idea and work it through to an actual Product, Now only if I can do it more often. Right now I'm working on a Custom Order for a Gal who wants a Full Rig for her Job as a Security Officer. I have made her a Pepper spray holder from scratch, pattern and constructing it to the tooling and dyeing, all my Hand work. Now I'm doing her Holster then next is the Belt, radio carrier and Magazine holders. Thank god She has given me Creative licence I love it when Folks can trust you.

Also working on some Items to celebrate "The Day of the Dead" "Dia De la Muerto" I think that's how its spelt??? And it has been supper fun doing that, It was suggested by a Beading Artist I met in Artwerks Lateral, Gloria. Its full of lots of color and details and a subject that is new to me so I'm having fun. This medallion will be put on a Chain and made into a Necklace. I have a cuff on the table now It has 3 different skulls on it with stamped designs and lots of Colors.

Yes, I know another 2 Months

Well, 2 months later And still no better at blogging or sells on my Etsy or zibbet shops. I have given in to the lack of sales and just accept that I'm not a blogger. I have made a pact to spend less time on the computer I have spent  hours each day doing my emails, facebook, shop checking, searching, etc that I am not being productive. Either in my Family life or my Creative life so I have decided to have a time limit and 1 day of the week to be my computer day. So hopefully this keeps me on track and accountable to my day. Well this last weekend was My Fathers Martial Arts Festival In Anaheim,CA it was so much fun and I was able to make a little money selling my Creations to the Martial Arts Community. Hopefully I get alot more new customers alot of my cards were picked up. My Husband who is one of my Fathers Black belts has a little Dojo in Gila Bend, AZ took our 3 kids and 5 other students to participate in the Tournament and They ALL did awesome! my Kids brought home 1 gold,1 silver,and 1 bronze in their Kata's(forms).and My Husband brought home 7 medals. It was truly a great day for my Fathers Organization Origins Events and Our Arizona Dynamic Traditions Karate school.

Well My Zibbet shop is on Sale to celebrate LABOR Day everything is 20% Off its even for custom items. Well summer is over here and so starts the FAll Vendor shows and I'm looking forward to it. I really like being in them and seeing all the great vendors I meet and all the great Items in the markets. Lets hope I actually make more money then I spend, its always my downfall.I know for sure I will be doing the Artwerks Lateral In Glendale, Az which is the first Saturdays of the month from Oct-May and have signed up for the Arizona State Fair On Oct 15-16th and The Desert Shrimp Festival for Nov 5th-6th, My Husbands Karate school will be doing a Demonstation so it will be a Family event.
Well Ive decided to do A share a part of me on my Blog.
I am a very Shy person by nature and so sharing about me is REALLY tough.
So I am the oldest of Three kids to my Parents who are Puerto Ricans raised in New York.
I was born In Texas in 1970 and mostly raised in Japan and Okinawa. My Father was in the Air Force for 20 yrs. I was truely blessed to have experienced my childhood in Okinawa,Japan. I wish I could have given my Children that same experience. I have always been a Very Creative soul and have always told my Parents I wanted to be a Fashion Designer since I was 5. I Always had my sketch pad and crayons with me and always used my moms scrap fabrics to make my dolls and Barbies clothing She let me use her safty pins and needle and thread to sew them together. I would spend hours on the floor cutting, draping, pinning, and hand sewing the clothing. It was something I found happiness in being a shy girl and being on the hefty side Its was hard for me to have this much fun with kids. As you know Kids can be Very cruel and I had to deal with alot of teasing and being left out. Until I eventually got angry enough about it and well thats when I got the name Julie The Bully. Needless to say the name calling stop at least in my Face. Well thats a little about me I will try to share some more on my next Blog. I think On my Facebook Page I will make a Daily share Post as a way for my fans to learn a little about me. Seriously need some Blooging Help

OK its been over 2 months since my last blog and well that is just POOH!!!
I am in a Place right now that I don't know what I'm doing ??? Do I just give up this blog and shut my shops down & just concentrate on local sales/clients???
I haven't had a sale on my zibbet in over 3 months, just got 2 on my etsy but it was a 2.5 month dry spell... I'm in a need of direction I have all these Ideas plans to make new product but my desire to do it is Lacking.. What do you do to keep up a strong upper lip in these hard times of economic difficulties?
I'm blessed my Husband is a Employed and our family is not dependent on me bring in some $ cause frankly we would starve, so DO I Keep the course and wait it out until Folks just have to have a Julicia's Creations or do I just Pack it in? Well, only God Knows and I'm sure I will be fine either way, I am always and truly blessed and I must remind myself of that sometimes We All DO.

April already

Well seems that time doesn't stop just because I will it too. I WISH!!
so I was out of commission Last week due to a HORRIBLE FLU even 3 of my kids got it and my oldest daughter was out of school for 5 days and got a terrible ear infection with it so it was not Happy times in the House. I was a miserable Boar and still have congestion in my head I can t seem to get rid off. But I'm out of bed and working so all is good. But I missed the Skin & Steel sale last weekend and now I'm playing catch up. i have a sale I'm doing in Phoenix by the Baseball field for the Metro bike run it was free to set up and I can use the Opportunity to meet new customers. I find that with a Handcrafted business you need to be Out and About to show your work so folks can see,feel,smell,touch it to appreciate it. Also this week I'm working on a Prom dress I'm making for a Dear friends Daughter, SO FUN! if you know me this is my first trade I love sewing and making custom clothing for folks especially Prom/or costumes My Fav! Also I have my items I have to sew for another Client who is getting knit tops made in some great prints then add my duties as Household engineer and my leather work, so You can see I'm a little all over the place. So my plan is to Plan yeah I know another list,another plan but its the only way I can do it So I can keep on schedule. Oh  and top of all that I have to make products for a Sale I'm doing on May 22nd for the 5Th annual Puerto Rican Festival in Tempe,AZ  also the Karate festival in August for Disneyland
Then also keep up the Shops I sell on and my website which right now is in some serious need of updating.... UGH!!!! I need an assistant that can do all this computer stuff, postings & updating so I can just concentrate on Creating and designing well until I become wealthy I guess that wont happen.

As you read the last post I'm having a Hard time doing a blog so I'm trying to be more organized and plan out my days But its a Habit learning Process for me.
But I'm working on it Its just some days are Very Hard to even just sit and think about or plan anything with 4 kids and trying to run my online shops and do my Custom sewing for Clients and Doing the occasional call for Alterations ( had 2 this week) I'm lucky if I get 5 mins to Breathe and drink some coffee without thinking Oh I gotta do this or this and Today was a my OK I can Breathe Day
To regroup and Plan out whats next Oh and I have to do my Tax info (WHAT??? Yeah I know I'm doing it Late )so Hopefully I can manage to file on time And WOW!!! I have LOTS Of receipts I think I spent WAY more then I made that's for sure. God Has Truly Blessed me with a Husband who is trying to Let me do my thing and Bless the Lord he Has a job where I can do this, If not for that I would be Working Out of the house instead of being home for my kids and doing my stuff.

SO SO SO SO bad

Well its been Almost a Month and well No blog and I'm Sorry to myself since I only have 4 followers ; )  but I'm finding that a blog is harder for me to handle then I thought, its just in my life I'm either trying to make my Leather jewelry for local art/craft shows or my orders off my online stores  and now I've been trying my hand at Networking and the social media thing and its just SO time consuming and don't forget I'm a mom of 4 and a wife to a Hubby who is looking at me sometimes why I even bother trying to do so much at once, I say I'm trying to establish a Business where I am doing something I love which is creating my jewelry and occasional clothing and he Quickly turns around and says "You don't look like your Loving it right now" WOW!! an eyeopener so I am done trying to do everything so if my blog suffers so be it Im done trying to be this all knowing, super woman of business because I'm not, Im a Leather Artist and SUPER  Exceptional Designer/Seamstress pattern maker and I will have to wait until I have enough money or clients so I can pay someone to do all the Background nitty gritty you have to do to run a business like blogging,Face book,twitter,etc its so time consuming I'm just not good at time management I guess its my artistic brain. I Don't like sitting here all day doing the Computer thing And personal I'm getting Addicted to face book checking all the post making my comments getting people to like my page finding new friends to add so I can get more likes Its is never ending. So I might get to My Blog about my steps on how I do my leather creations or maybe not. I will keep a Positive outlook and keep on Creating.  Whether it be my Leather ,Clothing for kids & clients, and most importantly a Happy Family

And it keeps on Going

Well its been 2 weeks since my last Blog and not a peep from me
"SMACK" me hitting myself for being bad. So hard to get distracted and get caught up in the things of Life,Kids, etc. My daughter actually was Very ill  the first week of February and missed 4 days of school so had to help her get well and do the Mommy duty of TLC, then I did a chili/biker run on the 5th so had to make items to fit that crowd I will attach some pic's so you can see the type of things I worked on. I was working WAY outside my Pretty Girly Box.
But it was Fun and enjoyed it especially the gun Holsters.
But I will do my serious on my steps of leather crafting. I've been brain storming and trying to do it the best I can so that it is a learning experience and Helpful. But as I am not an expert in this I will do my best and that is All GOD Asks of all of us anyway. I think I will start with the Leather and how they vary in weight,thickness and what is used for what. So that will be my Plan for this week and hope you enjoy the pics of My Rougher/Tougher  Items

My process to making my Jewelry

This is going to be a series of post explaining My process on how I create my Creations. Later I will break this down to show each step and the tools needed for the step and process but this will be the general start.

I am FAR from an Leather expert I have taught myself everything by doing, practicing, watching  tutorials and reading leather manuals.I have been doing Leather craft for about 5 years now and it has been a very satisfying learning process and look forward to improving my skills and knowledge.

So lets start with my first step which is usually the IDEA of a piece.
I get alot of my ideas and inspiration from the tools or Stones or even from my friends and family. It just comes and I Sketch it out or write it out if its a general thought like Boot straps,wraps,turquoise, etc.
I Even look through my Leather pattern books and manuals to see others work  and get inspired to maybe do something I haven't tried,which in leather is ALOT.
SUPPLIES NEEDED:
1. tooling leather, I usually use 3/4 oz or 4/5 oz
2. cutting tools (scissors,xacto knife,circular blade)
3. cutting mat
4. ruler
5. poundo board, and marble or granite slab
6. mallet
7. stamping tools
8. swivel knife
9. bowl and sponge for water
10. Dye
11. Snaps, findings and setters
12. Hole punch
OK so now I have a sketch and a Idea what I'm going to make now is my time to get my leather and cut it out to my desired width or size needed. To do this I use a circular cutter, cutting mat and ruler. since alot of my ideas and creations are for woman its usually in the range of  1/2" to 2" wide and usually to fit the standard 6.5" to 7.5" wrist but I do all sizes and widths.
Now I have my leather cut and I'm ready to start. I will have my water and sponge for CASING the leather which is basically rubbing it with a damp sponge so the top layer of leather is wet and ready for your stamping,tooling,cutting. This is a learning process in its own I have made LOTS of mistakes working on leather to wet and dry. You run the sponge over the leather and you will see it change to a darker color as it absorbs the water and do this until it has the same shade through out then wait. you will see it lighten up or dry  and it will feel cool to the touch now is the time for stamping or putting your tooling design on it with a stylus. After you have stamped your design you let it dry completely. if you put a design on it with a stylus then you next step is to Cut in the design with your Swivel knife. This is a tool that is Difficult to learn and master. It is something I have been delaying but I am now just doing this process as I find my stamping skills are advanced enough to master this skill.
So Lets continue as if you just stamped in your design and its is dried completely next is to Dye the item.  This is Another skill you must learn  because it can make or break a piece. So practice on a scrap of leather to make sure you like the color,process etc, after the dye it must dry again completely. When dry Buff it, seal it and let it dry. Now you need to put on the snaps,rivets,findings or any other design element you want such as beads,stones,rings, etc. to do this you will need a Hole punch. Measure twice do it once as they say. After your holes are done for snaps you apply your snaps with a snap setter and a mallet. Now it's ready for you to wear and enjoy for Many Many years. And with leather it gets better with age and will soften with wear. But It is Not water proof so be careful, you don't want it ruined after you did all this work with water.
This was just a General overview and my later posts will have a More in depth look and have pictures of the steps and tools needed for those steps.
As you can see there are alot of materials needed and steps used to accomplish an item in leather. I want folks to see and appreciate the steps we leather artist go through for a finished product.

SOOooo Hard to Blog

Well it's been over a week and No blog post and I'm seriously disappointed in myself. It was a goal to do it at least 4 times a Week and I'm just not able to get this done. But it seems I'm failing in alot of my other plans I'm making also,So
I have to think about why is it I'm not able to follow through? I spend alot of time searching on the net,doing FB, emails alot of distractions... I have always been the type who is side tracked and I find I always took another direction from where I intended to go. WHY is this? And why cant I stop it?
Discipline that's right discipline, I'm a Flaky artist type that gets caught up in the Creating and not the Black and white of Blogs, business plans, schedules,
organization,etc,ugh...I wish there was 2 of me one to do the Office stuff and then me to have fun creating and only think CREATE. But alas there's only Me
So get over it Julicia and Get you Butt in Gear!! For Goodness Sake your a Mom of 4 and have run the House so you can Do This!!!! YES I CAN
I will do this!!! Life can only change if you Change it, and so I will.
This weekend will be a Restart, I am going to relax chill with the family,Clean,organize my stuff, create a Plan that is realistic for me to stick with so I am not failing.

What to do When things Dont go as you Hoped

In Short You Keep Going!!!! That's what I do I did a sale at a New Market and to say the Least It Was A Big Disappointment
Paid 50 for slot and made 17 and spent like 10.. so it was not a great day for me. It was another day of what am I doing this for? What am I trying to accomplish? Well I want folks to see my products and see my creations for one, But it just seems they were not interested on Saturday. I want them to see the beauty and want to own it. I want to Make money so I can contribute to our Family. Then secondly I need to feel I am doing something for myself. Exactly what do I mean by this? This is not easy to answer, As a Mom of 4. My children are my First concern and their Happiness and stability is #1 on my list. But as they get older and I get older and less needed I have this ever creeping feeling I'm not being true to Me. I have this fear that I will be done with raising my kids and Home thinking what now? I don't want to be sitting there thinking I had wasted my talents and skills and Have a feeling of rushing to making up for it.. My first thought to this is my Mom, She sacrificed alot in her life and now I see she is regretful and wished she had chosen different paths. I don't want this, I see what regret and what ifs does to people. I will not be one!!!
So I start this week with the sense that Shit happens and you move on
I am still in the process of trying to find the success part of owning a Home based  Business but I welcome the Lessons and I will learn from them.
If I have learned anything from my Parents, It is you keep striving and do what you Love everything will fall in it's place.

Why I Blog??

Well It must Be a eclipse or something because it's the 3rd blog post I did this week AMEN! And I would like to contribute this to my Networking Friends
Every single one says you need to Blog!! Social Media is the way for business to Prosper in this new age of Computer connectivity. So I have one But Its still in the beginning stages of where I want it to Go. I want it to be more about How I do my creations and show my process and maybe alittle about my personal struggles as a Stay at Home Mom of 4 who's trying to make a Home based Business Thrive. But For now its more about my Struggles and how I plan on overcoming them. I have Plans on starting some videos on my working process and show some of my work area and how I actually make some of my stuff.
I think if folks see that its Not so easy to create One-of a Kind Leather Jewelry they would appreciate it more and be more likely to Buy something (that's my theory anyway) Now I just need to come up with Ideas on how to actually do this without paying someone to do it for me, Cause you did notice I have a husband,4 Kids and 5 dogs To feed and care for and That is not Cheap. So I am all about doing things for Free . I am the Bargain Hunter and Coupon queen.
Just wish I had a Good Video camera, so I will be asking some friends if they have one to lend me for a week or so. Also need to come up with script ideas and Layout and a plan on how the videos should flow and so on. Then the editing thing has me alittle worried I have No Idea or concept on how to do this..

Things are always Changing

Well as you see I didn't post yesterday as promised. Life has a way of always reminding us we must always adapt and change or get Run over. Woke up in a Bad Mood (didn't sleep well) Its amazing How sleep can effect our day and how we are functioning. So I over slept, felt tired and lazy. so since it was a late start I was playing catchup all day. Then 3 of my dogs dug out again and I spent about 2 hours Looking for them, filling the Hole and shoveling about 10 wheel barrels full of rocks along fence line,My back is a Mess to say the Least!
The day just escaped me and the next thing I know its 10 pm and all I wanted to do was Go to bed. But I didn't, I stuck it out and did some of My leather work and cleaned up dinner mess, then me and Davian read a Dino Book while I watched a little TV. Tucked Davi to bed and Off I went, Took some Tylenol PM and I was in LA LA land. So Now is a New Day for me to keep on track and just keep on moving and going forward and forget about what I didn't accomplish the day before. My Plan : Get the Christmas stuff finally back in the shed, I have the Boxes everywhere. Mail out my orders, Create some new stuff, and I think I am going to a New Networking Group tonight its for woman only. I think I need some Grown up time and do some meet and greet with some New Ladies Trying to Do the same thing as me. Here's to a New day to start things Fresh and hopefully a Productive one.

Making the Time

Well Its another Monday Yay!!! Its 8:30 am and all the kids are in school and Davian is still asleep. Its nice and quiet and I can hear my Thoughts so I am writing.Today is the start of being more Productive and making the time to do what I need to do. And what is that you ask? Well a great question, As I am a stay at Home Mom Of 4 and trying to Pursue a Home based Business. I am really my own boss and only answer to me and God, what is it I need to do? Well I am having a hard time doing  a schedule of  Mommy duty and Business duty.Especially when I don't actually have an Office where I can close the door and just work without being called on. So I think I will have to make my Business hours from like 6am to 3pm and since Davian My 4 yr old is a Very easy Guy to have around and Daddy's Home during the Day, He is taken care of. So what is it I need to do during my " Business hours" Lets see I check my emails, my work ones and Personal ones, Facebook personal and work pages, Pay bills home and business, Post my Blog, and also find venues to sell my stuff either Fairs and festivals or my online shops. I seriously need to add more items to sell which means alot of posting, typing,photos and etc... Then I have alot of Ideas just bouncing in my Head I need to get down on paper and start creating.  That is a process in its self. After I have my ideas down  I check to see if other place online have similar items and research price points and viability of it actually selling. What? Viability of selling? well that's just big words for : I ask my family and friends their opinions of what I'm thinking and I go from there. Then after that I do samples and depending on what it is it can be a day of Prepping, a day of Creating then a day or 2 to finish. Then presto its an actual Item I can touch and see. So Now I am focused and I am ready to start creating.
My plan is to clean my work area get it organized this morning and start doing leather this afternoon.  and I actually have some orders I need to get ready to mail for tomorrow. so This is My Post for Monday January 10th and I WILL have one for Tuesday beacause I am Making it a Part of my business hours!

New Year, New Start

Happy New Year!! Another year down and I am Blessed I had my Parents and nieces over for the Holidays. Had a Great 2 weeks with my Mom and 2 nieces and the kids had even a better time hanging with their cousins and Abuela.
When they left it was so Quiet!! Just shows how much fun you miss when you don't live close to your Family.
Well A New Year and a New Start. I have been trying to figure out how I can have a year where I make money instead of Lose it. Having a Home based business Is really frustrating sometimes when you work hard making products and Countless hours Creating products for Craft Fairs and You Barely make enough to pay for your Booth. Then try explaining it to Your Spouse Who just thinks its a waste of time in the first place, I pray I don't hear it Again and try to justify what I'm trying to do. What is a Girl to do? I have this need to accomplish something besides being an awesome Mom, I feel sometimes I am not fulfilled. I'm missing out on something, I'm not being true to Me, My Creative Soul. But I am lost as to How I can accomplish this. I have LOTS of Ideas, Plans and Designs I want to do but as the day passes I find myself at the end of the night laying in Bed Saying Oh Damn!! And I missed another day to accomplish something that was not on Mommy Duty. So this year I plan on Changing this, I have always made list for the kids so they know what they need to do and by when. So I will have one For Me. I plan on Writing every idea,design, Plan in a Notebook. If I see it its more accountable. I have all these Ideas,Plans,designs rattling in my head its overwhelming sometimes and its just pushed off and forgotten. No More!!, as soon as I have an Idea I am writing it down. This will be something I can use for my To Do List and Make me accountable and in the end I plan on Finishing tasks.I hope this can be a Step in making me a Profit generating Business and still enjoy being a Creative soul plus still being a Awesome Mom.
